Entry Mission Five: Local Response
School. We roam the halls unaware of who we are meant to be when we are just roaming the halls for the first time. Most of today's parents don't make their children become who they become later in life, but how could you tell a kindergartener that he has to pick a job that they have to enjoy for the rest of their lives that is going to maintain their stability in life? There needs to be time for growth and developing the proper mindset.
We all do not know that we are meant to take our education with us for the rest of our lives, as we are all taught that we are meant to be in the workforce. We all want to take the easy route, and all over the United States, we have taken the jobs that take little education and leap right into doing manual labor for quick cash. That is what teenagers do today, and at that age, it is already difficult to hope that they enjoy school as it is. Arizona is looking for people to have schooling beyond the limits of high school, but why focus on college when you should be changing the younger generations. Allowing them to have the chance to fall under the curve of learning the basics that they will need for the rest of their lives, they will be prepared to move on. Allowing them to enjoy learning what they need to learn makes all the difference. Kids do not learn from being shoved information, teenagers do not learn this way, and neither do adults.

Over the years, I have seen kids not respect the system all for the wrong reasons. There are so many individuals that simply do not have the attention that it takes to function in society. That is how we get homeless people, yet we attempt to help the people that want to spend their lives living in the condition that they put themselves in. It is the same concept of attempting to teach a child that does not want to learn, as they will just ignore the world and go where they work. People have a lot of fight in them when the passion is there, and when the rich get rich and the poor get poor there can be gaps of motivation that seem to be missing. There need to be the right influences at schools to make sure that kids are learning at a pace that has control over the students. Control is key to everything. If there is a need for a specific job, then it needs to be taught. If there is a shortage, make sure that people want to accomplish these tasks. Elementary school is not treated as it is meant to be, and is in the backbone that determined who students become. If we fail our students here, do you think that they want to continue a future in their high school career? Do you think that they will want to move past high school if the jobs that they do seem more important? We can spit out what we need all day, pour money into what we think is right, yet you can be far from the solution that you seek.
Kids are strange, they have to be releasing that energy that they hold in, yet we all should. If you want more children, as well as teens, to want to move forward in school they have to embrace themselves into school. Take a teenager for instance that drops out of high school, why do you think that he dropped out? The elementary schools have been taken for granted, and high school is finally when parents and teachers finally let the teenagers know that this is where your education matters.
Those are my thoughts, maybe because I am past the limit of high school, and have eyewitness accounts of all sorts of teenagers and adults. Teachers no longer care at the start and take the fun process out of all of school. It might seem crazy, but it takes special people to be considered good teachers. The best of my teachers care about where all the students end up, communicate, and create an environment that sets an active learning process. Learning is not done by a computer, it is by the process that is presented by the teacher. It is done by teaching the skills that they will take with them forever. Communication, teamwork, and the passion to be apart of what they want to do. Inspire the students to go above and beyond, and the toughest of the tough will survive. The Gif: HERE
