Mission Entry Nine: Influence

Media. It has been in our lives since we were born. If you are reading this, it is a media. What are you reading this on? My blog is being typed, posted, read, and commented on the internet. How do you get to the internet you say? Well, Johnny, you grab hold of a device and look for me. Not me literally, you are looking for the place that I created a social discussion board. Media will always be there, it will never go away, no matter how hard we try. Media comes from the very spread of information that isn't through the personal face to face connection. In the past, we had the newspaper. The very newspaper would spread the word on what goes on in the world around us. Reporters go out of their way to see what people are doing. Even if it has the worst of consequences.

The news was important back when it came out, but we no longer need the paper as we have the resources to learn anything that we need to be aware of. Although my recent example is what News has company it boils down to what is the truth or who is lying. Sometimes the information is as good as a court case. If the evidence is there, you have a chance; if it's not, then good luck on finding the difference between who is lying to you. That is the road that news has taken as it blasts through the television daily. Anything that you get information from today comes from a form of media.

But we are so connected to the technology that people don't have to read books anymore. Most just find videos, chats, or other websites that give the desired information away. Restaurants have come to the point where they advertise that they have a free wireless connection. The photo on the left may be a joke, it may not, but that is a photo that I have found to show the distance people go to stay connected to this information. Dictionary.com actually gives a better definition than I ever could. They sad that the means of communication, as radio and television, newspaper, and the Internet, that reach or influence people widely."
Today, it is Social media that has become the number one thing that people go on today. I don't use it myself, therefore I see no point in using it on a daily basis like the rest of the population loves to. I am here to tell you that we had the news as it was, on paper, yet books still may grab our attention we still let ourselves break the habits that we should be keeping. We have movies, T.V., the radio, and even now we have the internet that has never stopped booming. We no longer are influenced

We should be using the benefits that we used them for in the past. I have been with my friends for years, and we stay in contact because we are not the type of people that have to connect to our phones to be social. All the drama that this new type of socializing is not a problem for us, but it has caused more damage than good. We take over the media, we don't let the media take over us.
